Dustin Pike - Thank you

Well I hope everyone has had a lovely creative day. I was going to. I was going to do so so so much today. I was full of good intentions, finish off 75 evening wedding invitations and make a box to put them in. Start a scrapbook page and maybe even make a card. Instead I did a little housework - the bare minimum might I add, just enough to get by and call it housework, then I went shopping with my mum. I wanted a floaty kind of dress to wear in the garden when it was hot. I tried on so many and got more disheartened with every one I tried on (8 in total) . Anyway I ended up with a rather gorgeous floaty skirt instead and a card magazine oh yes and a stencil too. When I did get home I finished this card off by cutting out some more flowers and arranging some on foam pads to lift them above the rest and then glossing them with Anita's gloss accents. How cute is this little image. He was a free digi download from here http://dustinpike.blogspot.com/ I love visiting this site. This is one talented talented individual and so generous too with all the freebie images. Anyway I hope I have a more creative day tomorrow or even Monday. I love Bank Holidays. No work. Take care and have a lovely weekend

Sisters

Evening everyone and another hot one at that (another night spent tossing and turning.) I tried pottering in the garden yesterday then gave it up as a bad job too too hot. Not that I'm complaining oh no. We don't get enough of this kind of weather. So got my crafty bits and pieces and sauntered off outside under the sun shade and this is what I came up with. How cute is this little digi image from Cuddly Buddly? As soon as I saw it I knew it would make a lovely card for my sisters birthday. I can't remember who makes the paper except that I got it from Hobbycraft and it was a scrummy shade of girly bubblegum pink. I'm quite pleased with the way this card turned out except for the hair. Not sure its right but its the best I could do until I get some more practice.

A perfect Day

I know this isn't a picture of a card but I had to share this photo. It just makes me smile all over when I see this pic of my nephew's little boy. This was taken at my niece's wedding last year and is my favourite photo of the day. How happy does he look? All dressed up and looking so posh but with ice cream all over his face, on his hands and down the front of his jacket. The ice cream was courtesy of my father much to the dismay of my mother!!

So Many Ways

Well now I think I just might be able to get my head around this blogg thingy. I've been playing around and changing things and adding things since I started and it all looks to be taking shape. I've got to say a BIG thank you to Angie for designing my banner and header and not only that but for adding it too. How kind is that. Thank you so so much once again Angie I love it. Anyway I've added another card using another freebie Newton Bear image from herehttp://www.newtons-law.com/colouring/ . How cute is he then. Must admit too my colouring doesn't look to bad. I hate doing bears or animals with fur. I love the green gingham paper/card its just so fresh looking. Only thing is I've got none left now. Got all the other colours but not the green - just goes to show how much I loved it huh!! Another pet hate is hair. I just can't get it right so if anyone can come up with some tutorials or point me in the direction of some It would be greatly received.

Newton

Well this is my very first posting so please be patient with me. I've resisted setting up a blog but finally gave in and decided to have a go. Saying that it's took me nearly all afternoon but there you go. I got there in the end. The card I've uploaded has been made using an image from this website http://www.newtons-law.com/colouring/ isn't he just so cute and very useable . I was kindly pointed to this by Kerry. Thanks for that. Anyway I've used watercolours and copics to colour with a touch of glossy accents added to the water droplets. The lovely gingham card I've used was bought from the Harrogate show and which I wish I'd bought more of because it is so so nice. I just wanted to keep this card simple so only added some ribbon and some flat back self adhesive mosaic stones. Another of my latest addictions.
